You first have to get his home, final island. Then you go to the buried relic. Make sure to bring lots of food. You also need to be holding the music box which you can get by defeating the three Regi Pokemon which apear on floors 15, 25 and 35. They will be guarding objects and those turn into the box. I think you need to exit the dungeon after obtaining the box. Enter the dungeon once more and the higher the floors number is, the higher your chances of obtaining Mew. And you have to be holding the music box.

(p.s. remember two things! mew can transform into any Pokemon and there is a really small chance you'll be able to get Mew so keep trying!)

AnswerOnce you purchase Mew's Friend Area, Final Island, and have gained access to Buried Relic, you have some chance of recruiting Mew.

After navigating your way through Buried Relic, you will find yourself battling the three Regi Pokemon. These Pokemon must be defeated to proceed and the item they surrener after their defeat must be collected to encounter Mew. The Regi Pokemon each drop a Rock, Ice or Steel Part which combined form a Music Box. This item, carried in the inventory, will enable you to encounter Mew - but not necessarily recruit it.

Mew has a very low recruitment rate, but you can help raise this by having your lead Pokemon above level 90 and having it hold a Friend Bow (which increases the recruitment potential of the team). Mew is also elusive - found only on random floors from floor 36 to 98. The main way you will be able to tell if Mew is on your current floor is by watching the message log carefully. It will show a message of "Mew used Transform" if Mew is on the same floor as you.

As hinted in the message (and the answer above), Mew can use Transform. This means it takes the ppearance of any Pokemon - but mainly one of the Pokemon that inhabit Buried Ruins. While it may be slightly difficult to tell which Pokemon is Mew, there are a few tell-tale signs. For one thing, the transformed Mew can still move over magma, sky and water as well as normal ground tiles. Thus, a Sandshrew that is moving over a water tile is a disguised Mew. Also, when you battle Mew, it will only use 'Struggle' as Transform has 1 PP (which would then be used up) and it is the only move Mew has at that stage (leving it with one move on 0 PP, making it have to use Struggle instead of the move).

Do not worry if you miss Mew on one floor. It will reappear on a higher floor (unless you are on floor 98) for you to challenge again. I am not sure if this works the same way if you defeat Mew and it isn't recruited.

There is only one Mew and it cannot be found again in Buried Relic after you recruit it. I would also like you to note that the higher the floor level does not equal a higher chance of recruiting Mew. It is just a floor. You also do not have to leave the dungeon and re enter after obtaining the item Music Box. If the Music Box is lost, you may also obtain another one by defeating the three Regi Pokemon once more.

First beat Rayquaza, Then Explore the new dungeons, Howling Forest, Stormy sea, Pitfall Valley, Solar Cave, & a couple others i can't get off my head. But one day you'll wake up & Pelliper will send you some Pokemon news, Saying a new dungeon was found, & how it's so ancient that it may have ancient Pokemon, & how it's the talk of Pokemon square, So you'd better have the friend area Final Island, then go to Pokemon square, talk to everyone, & someone'll say somthing about it & Boom, You can go to Buried Relic!! Then take all your supplies, & Battle the Regis, Get the rock part, ice part, & steel part, then they'll merge & form the music box. Heres the trick, look at your potential requrits, then it'll say Mew on one of them. now, if you see Mew, put on your friend bow, & defeat Mew, & cross your fingers, & tap the A button repeatedly, & it'll join your team. Once it does, You escape from the dungeon. Now... You Have Mew!!!!

then put your x-ray specs and look for red dots . you need final island (friend area)and friend bow (if you want friend bow)and your music box .It worked i looked it and yay mew was in floor 70 in the last room sleeping(note he may not be in the 70th floor)

Recruit Mew

Actually, everyone on this page is partially correct. If you kill mew and it doesn't join your team, you can still recruit it. But mew appears randomly on B36-B98 floors, but most commonly on B94-B98 floors (I read the red rescue team handbook, so I know this for a fact!). Anyway, I hope this info helps

AnswerNo one on this page has the true answer, you must kill LAST! kill everyone on the floor that mew is on first. if you do that then Mew will join you 100%. I killed Mew a lot of times before and then on a website it said to kill Mew last and when i did it joined me.
