How do you get Torchic in Pokemon Ruby when you already chose a Pokemon?

Well, I don't know what to tell you, my friend. Once you choose your Starter Pokemon, you're stuck with that Pokemon for the rest of the game. There are only three other ways to get Torchic that I can think of:
1. Trade a Torchic from Pokemon Sapphire, Emerald, or another Ruby.
2. Restart the game and choose a Torchic. I do not recommend this!!
3. Cheat using the action replay to get a Torchic.
