If the Mac does not even turn on, bring it to the nearest Apple store to get it taken out by unscrewing parts of the Mac, or unscrew it yourself. If you give it to a repair store, tell them to take the CD out when they open it up to fix it.

To insert a CD into a Mac, place the disc label side facing up and align it with the disc slot. Gently push the CD into the slot until the Mac automatically pulls it in. If your Mac has a tray, open the tray, place the CD label side up, and close the tray.
Download an ISO of the Mac OS CD, and then burn that ISO with Nero to the CD. It will be an exact copy of that disc. If the ISO was copied from a bootable CD then the copy you burn will be bootable.

By work do you mean will you be able to read the CD? If so, yes, it will work. You will be able to access date, movies, music etc. If you mean can you install Mac programs on a CD onto a PC the answer is no.
