Sorry this only works for Pokemon Emerald,not Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire. First,you must CATCH all 202 Pokemon in the Hoenn Region.You do not have to catch the Evolutions,if any,of the Pokemon in the Wild.For exsample,pretend you had 1 Shuppet in your Party.Soon you evolve it into a Bannete,but you don't have your Shuppet any more.Even though you evolved it,you don't need to catch another Shuppet,because you have already caught one.You even need to catch the Hoenn Pokemon you can't get in the Wild.Those Pokemon are:Medidite,Medicham,Surskit,Masquerain,Lunatone,Roselia,and Zangoose.In that case,you'll need to trade with others to get those,or use a GameShark.You'll also need the other two Starter Pokemon that you didn't get if you want a Jhoto Starter. Second,after you've done Step 1,either Prof. Birch will call you on your PokeNav,or you will have to call Him on your PokeNav.Then,go to Prof. Birch's Labratory.You can choose a Jhoto starter:Chikorita,Cyndaquil,or Totodile.But you can only choose one,so choose the one you like best.
