There are 3 classes that get free epic mounts. Paladins, Warlocks, and Death Knights all get free mounts but have to pay for the training (except death knights, they get the training free).
Another mount that could be considered epic is the Recruit-a-Friend mount (used to be the Zhevra mount, but is now the X-53 Touring Rocket).
Other then that you can get the rare drops from ZG (Tiger or Raptor) and the headless horseman's mount, along with the Baron's mount from Strath.
