You don't. You treat others as you would want to be treated and I'm sure you wouldn't want someone trying to come between you and your boyfriend especially when they share a child. If he didn't want to be where he was he wouldn't be which would indicate he wants to be with his current family - and remember that's a family. Move on and focus your future interest on someone single.
