The key to this is to get the iron really hot. Flux the iron first, then apply solder to the iron. Touch the charm with the solder at the ready. It should bead perfectly. The other key is to work quickly, you don't want to melt your charm.
One can find some nice bracelet charms by going to the Links of London website. The website has a number of charms for sale that can be put on bracelets.
Yes, it does fit. I have bought a few of the Danbury Mint Story Vine Collection charm bracelets for my daughter for Christmas - I am keeping the charms but will buy her a Pandora bracelet to use with the Danbury charms as well as a few Pandora ones. Today I gave my daughter's friend a Story Vine Charm since we have a few of those, plus it was her birthday - she put it on her Pandora bracelet to join the rest of her Pandora charms. The Danbury Mint charms are slightly larger but still look very nice. I am not sure if they are made of silver - they do have a stamp on them; they are heavy; I also conducted a magnet experiment and the bead is not attracted to it which means it might be silver. Also, the Danbury Mint charms are not threaded and hang loosely on the bracelet. .
Bonanza.com has a nice selection

You could try a local jewelry store, shop online, or visit a gem show. Beads are incredibly popular today, and there are some enormous bead shows out there, so it shouldn't be hard to find what you're after.
Mothers bracelets typically have either the birthstones of their children, or charms to symbolize them. It's a nice gift for someone, a reminder of what they have.
There are many beautiful websites for fashionable bead necklaces: Pretty Pieces, St8ment and Asos among many. Tiffany & Co and Pretty Cool are particularly nice websites. And then of course Amazon has a good range of fashionable bead necklaces, too.
There are many explanations for why a mala has 108 beads, one of which is that one should say 100 mantras, but usually people make mistakes, so an extra 8 beads were added just in case. Think of a 21 bead mala the same way. Say some extra mantras just in case. --- Don't get too caught up in the mathematics of it all. Buddha never dictated a number and you are not obligated to force one upon yourself unless you choose to do so. Most practices picked 100 as a nice round number, and a few extras to compensate, that's all. How one uses their mala is as varied as any other aspect of one's practice. The whole point is to be mindful, and a mala is nothing more than a tool to help you accomplish this in your practice. In addition to recognizing the need to compensate for human error, you can also use it bookmarks or footprints in topics you wish to be mindful of during a session. For example, when I use a 21 bead mala, I use it as follows: STARTING OFF: bead 1 -- I believe that I am prepared to begin. THE THREE GEMS: bead 2 -- I take refuge in the Buddha. bead 3 -- I take refuge in the Dharma. bead 4 -- I take refuge in the Sangha. THE FOUR NOBEL TRUTHS: bead 5 -- I recognize that life means suffering. bead 6 -- I recognize that the origin of suffering is attachment. bead 7 -- I recognize that the cessation of suffering is attainable. bead 8 -- I recognize that to follow the path is to end suffering. THE EIGHTFOLD PATH: bead 9 - I shall practice Right View. bead 10 -- I shall practice Right Intention. bead 11 -- I shall practice Right Speech. bead 12 -- I shall practice Right Action. bead 13 -- I shall practice Right Livelihood. bead 14 -- I shall practice Right Effort. bead 15 -- I shall practice Right Mindfulness. bead 16 -- I shall practice Right Concentration. THE FIVE PRECEPTS: bead 17 -- As the Buddha avoided taking life, I shall avoid taking life. bead 18 -- As the Buddha avoided taking what is not freely given, I shall avoid taking what is not freely given. bead 19 -- As the Buddha avoided using false speech, I shall avoid using false speech. bead 20 -- As the Buddha avoided physical misconduct, I shall avoid physical misconduct. bead 21 -- As the Buddha avoided recklessness from substances, I shall avoid recklessness from substances. WRAPPING IT UP: anchor bead -- Session is complete! This is just how I do it, though. The fact that there isn't a "right" answer here is the only "right" answer!
No. A 700 C rim has a bead seat diameter of 622 mm, while a 27" rim has a bead seat diameter of 630 mm. If you use excessive force it might be possible to mount the tire, but it won't sit well. On www.sheldonbrown.com there's a nice section about tire sizes.
Yea that is a great Idea to add to that would be to buy a titanium nut I think you can find them online where the polish is nice and then heat it up and you will get a rainbow finish that would look spectacular, buy a nut from a hardware store, make sure the threads on the inside match that of an actual Pandora charm. then have each of the five sides engraved. she'll love it because you made it Well that is alright I have a better Idea which took a lot of work a website will be up shortly which will showcase engraved Pandora beads which you can personalize yourself and have shipped to you. should be in December of 2010 keep checking back I will update this area. does anyone know if there is a sliver bead that fits Pandora etc type bracelets that can be engraved?
