In short, you need to take the 120-hour Home Inspection course from an accredited school, and pass the course. Along the way you'll need to submit your fingerprints for a background check with the state of Florida. After you take the 120-hour course you'll need to schedule to take the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE) through a Pearson VUE testing center. After passing the examination, you'll need to submit your application to the Florida DBPR along with proof you took the course. If all is well, you'll have your license in a couple weeks.
