Press the small circular button on top of the controller and a green light should start runnimg around the 'x' logo on front of the controller. Then u do the same on the xbox console and the button is under the disc tray and next to the memory card slot and the same thing should happen to the 'x' logo on the xbox. The lights on the controller and system should start blinking in synchronization and one quadrant of the lights on the system and conroller will light up and it is set up for use.
