How do you unlock ascension level in black ops?

There is no way whatsoever to get it for free. It's part of the First Strike Pack which costs around £11.49 on PlayStation Store the last time I checked, and probably the same on Xbox Live.

It was available for free as a bonus with the Black Ops limited edition for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in the USA and Amazon still has copies

You must have a PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the game. You must have a online connect and then you go to the store for your system and download it. The PlayStation Store charges $14.95. For PC games it is not yet available but expected and no other system are expected at this time

The DLC for Ascension costs 1200 Microsoft points and it is located on the Xbox 360 dashboard

for xbox you first need xbox live, then go to game marketplace and go to add ons, from there, you can choose ascension and buy it for 1200 Microsoft points, you should also know it takes a while to download.

Well, you can get it for free. What you have to do is have a friend that already has it. Have your friend recover his/her gamertag onto your xbox. Then, you go to the marketplace, then you download the maps again. It will then be on both xbox's. You can do it for any add on for any game there is. Its all free and legal, just get a friend willing to do it.

U can if you search for an ipa. file i believe you download it. then get a program called modio. extract your xbox live profile and isert it into your computer. then drag the game file into modio. rehash and resign it then put it into your flashdirve(or hard drive depending on what yo used to extract your profile) then wallah! Free ascension.

The map comes in the First Strike DLC for Xbox 360 PC and PS3 and is not available to other games or can it be obtained without getting the $15 DLC
