Obtain a book with many examples. You should try to work the examples and compare your answers. There are also many tutorial web sites. Try math.com to get started.

Math automatically becomes more interesting when you have an enthusiastic math teacher, but if you don't, try this: - Compete and challenge yourself - How quickly can you answer these questions? or memorize these equations? - Look up songs and videos related to whatever math you're doing online. - Face the fact that math is not interesting and force yourself to get it done anyway. (this is what I usually do)

No. You should never be ashamed of yourself on account of some natural set of abilities or inabilities. When you consciously decide to do something even though you know better, and you really go ahead and do it, THEN you should be ashamed of yourself. And where does this question keep coming from ? ?
