If you have natural African American hair (like myself) you will have to do a twist-out for the BIG curls you want. which means wetting hair, using lots of natural oils (EVOO [extra virgin olive oil] avacado oil coconut oil) and leave in conditioners (Natural conditioners are always best).
(NOTE:If your hair is humid prone or wind prone, use a humid spritz or frizz spritz heavily when oiling and conditioning your hair) and get a satin or silk scarf
Split hair into sections and with each section twist your hair (spliting that section into two close to even parts and "twist together tightly). Make sure hair is WET and VERY oiled and conditioned. Repeat twist method to each section.
Take your silk or satin scarf and wrap your head making sure that all your twists are completely covered by it. Then go to sleep or whatever you do at night.
In the morning take off your scarf and begin to un-twist your hair Gently (you should notice the curls) after all twists have been un-twisted just fluff hair gently (to give volume) and your ready to go :)
