BP are Battle Points. Once you beat the Elite Four you can travel to the Fight Area from Snowpoint City and fight at the Battle Tower. The more you fight, the more Pokemon you add to your pokedex and the more BP you earn. Trade in your BP for cool prizes at the building with two doors you pass under to get to the Battle Tower! you keep on battling until you have beaten all 7 challengers and then you are awarded with bp. if you are wondering what bp is, it is something you get and you get to buy stuff at those little stands. if you get enough bp, and you have beaten the national dex, you get to buy a master ball. but that is in Pokemon platinum, but i imagine its the same thing in diamond and pearl. hope this helped!
