Having children is a big responsibility and you should never rush into it. You will never know what children are really like and how demanding they are until you have them.

Firstly, you need to be in a strong relationship with your partner. Whether it is your boyfriend, girlfriend, wife or husband, you need to be able to totally trust eachother and be comfortable in eachothers company. Having sex is something to be cherished and if you are not 100% comfortable experiencing it with your partner, then you must not do it. It is also said that the chances of conceiving fall if you are not comfortable with the experience of sex.

Taking fertility pills can help but in the end, it's up to your body to conceive; not the foreign substances being forced into it.

The age of you and your partner make a huge difference to the chances of conceiving as your fertility rate decreases as you get older:

*13-24~ too young. Your body isn't ready yet and your relationship with your partner cannot be decided as you are both young and full of hormones!

*25-30~ this is when most people are most fertile. Your body has only just fully become ready, so be careful.

*31-40~ this is a good age as you are now a responsible adult and can understand the impact a child will have on your life.

*50+ your chances of conceiving are lowering quickly!

There are foods and drugs which claim they will get you pregnant, and some can help with fertility but like i said before, it's your body which decides what happens; not the substances put inside it.

Good luck if you are considering it and make sure your child will have a good relationship with both parents :)
