How do you get chocolate off the wall?

Always remove the chocolate as soon as possible. If the chocolate is still soft, gently wipe off what you can, being careful not to rub too hard or spread the chocolate. If the chocolate is hard, crumble it off a little at a time.

One way to remove chocolate stains is to:

1. Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid, non-bleaching laundry detergent with 2 tablespoons to one-half cup of warm water. The water has to be warm because chocolate contains cocoa butter and cold water will not work. Blot the stain area with the mixture using a white cloth.
2. If the stain is not removed, mix one tablespoon of household ammonia with one-half cup of warm water. Blot the stain.
3. Repeat step one
4. Sponge with a warm-water sponge.
5. Blot.

Please note: It is always a good practice to "test" whatever substances you use to remove a stain on a small, obscure place on the wall first to be sure it will not discolor or harm the paint or other finish.

Other suggestions:

For walls painted with eggshell or satin finish paint, it might be possible to use a warm damp cloth to remove it.

For walls painted with flat paint, a magic eraser might work, but definitely test it on an obscure area first.

There might be commercial stain removers that will remove chocolate.
