Fairies you are doing quests for may ask you for dewdrops. However, dewdrops are not an ingredient that you can gather in the meadows or earn by playing games. It is not really an ingredient at all! To "get dewdrops" you have to play the Water Web game in Neverberry Thicket. You have to get a certain highscore in the game to "get dewdrops." To see what highscore you have to get, check the Quests tab in your Leaf Journal, and look at the quest you need dewdrops for.
Similar things will happen with other games. For example, the fairy you are doing a quest for might say that she needs flower petals. To get her some, you will need to play the Petal Pick-Up game in Cherryblossom Heights. If you have any questions, please ask me on my message board.
