You can get doubloons by trading, but the price changes very little at one island. The most profit comes from buying cheaply and selling for more somewhere else.
You can get more doubloons on skullduggery by finding random pieces of cargo around the sea or by selling your items (Grain, spices, silk and medicine) another way to get money is to get a loan from the loan officer on the golden harbor good luck .
Nothing, but you will still lose 10% of your doubloons. Sinking sea creatures is one way to create lots of salvage, but if you lose, you must be prepared to build up your doubloons again.
I have defeated a sea monster, but there is more than one, so it depends which one you are defeating.
Yes. You can still sail and fight pirates and sea monsters, but there is little else to do except amass a huge fortune in doubloons. Be aware that you still lose doubloons if you are sunk, so you could be risking millions. Nothing to worry about once you have won.
To get a large number of doubloons, sail around Dragon Cove (where you can sink sea monsters), or above Golden Harbor (where you will fight pirates). The accumulation of thousands of doubloons is a slow process, until you have large ships that can hold a lot of cargo.
There are your two novice crew: the sea dog (cook) and cabin boy. There are 4 skilled crewmen that you have to hire to benefit from their skills: Shipwright (Dragon Cove) : 20,000 doubloons to hire, slowly fixes damage without docking Cargo Master (Bouffant Bay) : 15,000 doubloons, increases cargo space of any ship by 50% Navigator (Parrot Port) : 12,000 doubloons, increases ship speed Cannoneer (Pirate Outpost) : 20,000 doubloons, increases firing rate of your cannon
Sea Monsters and PiratesSinking a sea monster or pirate is a good way to get a LOT of doubloons, but it is risky unless you are very good at it. You will lose some of your doubloons if you are sunk. Generally, the sea creatures attack at the left side and above Dragon Cove. So once you have 2 or more cannon, you can hunt them there. Note that smaller ships will fill the cargo completely with just one creature. Beware of multiple attacks by creatures and ships.
Skullduggery sea is in the bottom left on the map
There are no shortcuts. You earn doubloons by salvage, by trading, or by sinking creatures and pirate ships. The sea creatures are a prolific source of doubloons, and appear mainly around Dragon Cove. You will need skill and practice to defeat them on a regular basis. (see related trading question)
To earn doubloons, sail around and collect floating debris. Invest the treasures at different trading posts for more doubloons. Collect treasure from defeating ships and monsters if you have a ship with cannons. You can buy a ship in Dragon Cove (north-western island).* Once you have cannons, a way to get lots of doubloons is by sinking sea creatures (around Dragon Cove) and pirates (between the Pirate Outpost and Golden Harbor). When they sink, they release a large amount of salvage. Sea creatures are generally easier to escape because they are slower and do not shoot back. But this takes practice, and groups of sea creatures or pirates may attack at the same time, and sometimes a mix of these.
You can't sell your boat. But any one but the raft has a small trade-in value on a larger ship. Collect doubloons from salvage, and by sinking pirates or (more easily) the sea creatures around Dragon Cove.
I am surprised there is not one but if if you really wanna rack up some doubloons without cheats your best shot is to trade and salvage in the sea. here is another way if you circle around the Golden Harbor island you'll find a lot salvage, I found 100,000 doubloons in half an hour doing that, or destroy a little ship by making it bump into rocks or shooting it with cannons. After you sink an enemy ship salvage should pop up, get the salvage and it should give you at least 4,000 doubloons and 300 cargo if that does not help...
