I am assuming that you want to get the codes stored in the ECM or BCM that indicate problems.
To display stored codes:
1. Turn ignition on.
2. press the "Off" and "Warmer" buttons on the A/C control panel at the same time until all of the warning lights on the dash light up, then release the buttons.
3. Codes will display on the fuel gage to the left of the steering column.
4. .E before the code means that it is displaying a history code for the ECM
5. .E.E before the code means that it is displaying a current ECM code.
6. .F before the code means that it is displaying a history code for the
BCM
7. .F.F before the code means that it is displaying a current BCM code.
8. When it reads .7.0. All of the codes have been displayed and the system is ready to perform other diagnostic tests.
9. To Exit Diagnostics, press "Auto" on the A/C panel

the code is 1989 cadillac deville and i am not kidding
I have a Haynes repair manual for my 92 caddy sedan deville which explains that your error code is an ECM trouble code, torque converter clutch (tcc) engadgment fault. I don't know what it means but I hope it helps u!!
the code is 1989 cadillac Devillle and i am not kidding
For a FWD 1993 Cadillac Deville there is no F85 BCM trouble code. There is however an E85 ECM trouble code. ECM codes always have a prefix of E. BCM codes always have a prefix of F. E85 - Throttle body service required (throttle valve not closing).
F32 - basically what it comes down to is shorted wires between the ECM and BCM, a bad ECM or BCM or a faulty prom or memcal inside the ECM or BCM.
On a 92 DeVille, the ECM (Engine Control Module) is behind the dashboard on the right side. Access is through the glove box opening by removing the 6 philips head screws (you will need a stubby #2 philips screwdriver) and wire connectors from the back. Once the glove box is out the ECM is the silver box 10 X 7 X 1-1/2" with a red white and blue wire connectors. It appears to be one piece, but it is actually two, inside (under a 1 X 2" door is a PROM (looks like a computer chip). If you are changing the ECM, transfer the PROM to the new ECM (engine will not run without one). Cadillac Man

First push OFF and WARM to retrieve codes, then push OFF and HI to clear codes ( Repairs must be completed or codes will return )
