How do you get eggs in pokemon soulsilver?

Give the day care lady a ditto then a Pokemon you want to clone then run around a little then the man will give you the egg. Or,you could give her 2 of the same type of pokemon,but male and female.

To get eggs on Soul Silver; you do what you do in every other game..

Put any two lovely Pokemon in the Day Care Center (a little south of Goldenrod City).

Outside of the DC Center should be the old man. If you talk to him he'll say something about the relationship between the two Pokemon you put in the DC Center. If he says something like "the two prefer to play with other Pokemon than each other" or "the two don't seem to like each other" then there is a low chance you will recieve an egg.

If the man says something along the lines of "the two seem to get along" then there is a higher chance that the two Pokemon will have an egg.

Also, you can obtain eggs by putting a Ditto in the DC Center with any Pokemon you wish (except for legendary Pokemon besides Manaphy.)

If a Ditto is in the DC Center with another one of your Pokemon and the man says something negative about the relationship between them, you will still recieve in egg.

You can either let the man call you on the Pokegear when you have recieved and egg or he will be standing outside facing the left.
