The fiber glass can be removed out of the skin through surgery if it is a major case. This is because it is usually very thin. Otherwise it can be removed by piercing the affected area with a needle.
Depending on how deep it is down in the skin, will depend on if you're able to get it out yourself. If it is very superficial, meaning close to the skin, you may be able to use a pair of tweezers and a light to get it out, but if it is any deeper, or there is fear that you may push the glass in further, you will need to either go to the emergency, or to visit a doctor that will be able to get it out for you. Also keep in mind, that if you take it out yourself, make sure that you clean the area with antiseptic, and then cover with a bandage to make sure that no dirt or anything gets in.
If you can grab hold of the glass, just pull it out and then wash the wound and bandage it if needed. If you cannot grab the glass, go to a doctor and have them take it out for you - they'll have something to stop it hurting.

Sea glass is a type of glass that is found near salt water. It is basically just broken pieces of glass that have been weathered and tumbled in salt water. The pieces then become smooth and cloudy over time.
