You don't actually "get" friends-in-common on Facebook. It's not something that you can actually control naturally. If you are friends with someone from school, and you two happened to have the same friend, then that friend is considered as a 'friend-in-common.'
A mutual friend in facebook is the friends that you and the person have in common. To get more you could try adding more of their friends :P
Mutual Friends on Facebook are friends that you and another user have in common.

Facebook has a limit of 5000 friends. There are many ones there having 5000 full of friends.
go to find friends or search your friends that have a facebook
There is no need to add mutual friends as they are already added in your friends list. They are just the common friends added between two users.
No only your firends can see them. If you are talking about people of Facebook which you are no friends with then no. Your friends that do not have facebook can not see your profile or posts.
