FROM JFK AIRPORT TO HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY

It takes 1-2 hrs to Hofstra campus, depending on the time of the day and train connections:

Take AirTrain ($5) from the airport to Jamaica Station and then take a Long Island Railroad (LIRR) train east. At Jamaica, purchase train ticket at the

LIRR station counter or at the machine before boarding train (off-peak ticket is $7.25 if purchased beforehand; $13 on board. Peak tickets are $10

and $16).

If you are coming during the day (7 a.m.-4p.m.), take a Hempstead line train east to the last stop (Hempstead). Our Hofstra Train Shuttle, aka Blue

Beetle, meets every train at Hempstead station during the day.

In the evening, Hofstra Train Shuttle meets trains at Mineola train station, starting at 5:30 p.m. Please note that Mineola station is on Port Jefferson
