How do you get from 77th and Broadway to Penn Station?

Take either the Uptown 1 (of the 1-2-3, the red line) or the Uptown C (of the A-C-E, the blue line).

You can take the Uptown 1 train from 34th Street-Penn Station to 79th Street (at Broadway).

Or you can take the Uptown C train from 34th Street-Penn Station to 81st Street-Natural History Museum (at Central Park West).

Take the Downtown 1 local train (of the 1-2-3, the red line) from 79th Street (at Broadway) to 34th Street-Penn Station.

If the train pulls into the 72nd Street station and there is a Downtown 2 or 3 express train stopped across the platform, then you may want to transfer. You'll skip 2 local stops (59th Street and 50th Street).

Or, you can always walk down to 72nd and Broadway, and get on the subway there.

You can also take the Downtown 1 local train, 6 stops, from 79th Street (at Broadway) to 34th Street-Penn Station, or you can take it 1 stop to 72nd Street and transfer there to the Downtown 2 or 3 express trains.
