How do you get furniture you downloaded on to your game in sims 3?

Once you download an object (hair clothing furniture ext.) you have to go to The Sims 3 launcher (What pops up to play the game) and click on downloaded content. The item you downloaded will be located there. Check the item or items and click install to game. A new window will pop up and install the item or items to the game. If the game is already running, however, it will automatically install the item to the game. Remember, if the item you are downloading needs a special expansion pack, store item, or mod that you do not have it will not download. Hope this helped :) -Sunsplash

I would not encourage you to buy it , instead i would encourage you to go on the Sims 3 website and onto 'exchange' on here you can download houses, sims, hairstyles, clothing, furniture etc. which is downloaded to your Sims 3 game.

Example: for me I downloaded in this order: The Sims 3, The Sims 3 Ambitions, than The Sims 3 Late Night. And now, all I have to do is put in my Late Night disk, and poof! Up pops The Sims 3!
