FIRST u need to get rock smash a mad scientist will give u it in mauville city ( mind the spelling) then u need to go to verdanturf city and go through rusturf tunel smash the rock seperating the two people then the man will give u a hm strength.

∙ 12y agoTo use the HM Move Strength, go into your menu, go to bag, locate the HM move in the HM pocket, select it, choose "use", then choose a Pokemon that can learn it (they will say "ABLE" if they can learn it). Click on that Pokemon, and it will learn the HM move.
Now, go up to any boulder in your way and press "A". Strength will then be activated (if you have the correct badge that will allow you to use it outside of battle) and boulders will be able to be "pushed" by walking into them with the player.
It only needs to be "used" once per area but if you leave the area, ie. going up/down a ladder, you'll have to "use" the move again.
