How do you get infinite lives in the legend of Zelda the minish cap?

Simple answer? You don't.
The Zelda games simply don't work that way.
You can buy various potions from Syrup the witch in the Minish Woods or Lon Lon Milk from Malon when she appears in town to put in your bottle which can heal you when you use it.
The only thing that comes close to giving you more "lives" is if you catch fairies in your bottles (which will heal you automatically if you die in the middle of a fight - very handy for boss fights).
If you want more hearts then you can look for heart pieces which are scattered around Hyrule, usually with specific ways to get to them. When you have four of these pieces you gain another heart container which gives you more health, which means you don't die as easily. Incidentally, there are many guides online that tell you exactly where all of these pieces are and how to get them.
