If one cannot afford it but wants to get into a boarding school, there is one way to get in. They can get a scholarship before going in. When applying a boarding school, they have variety of choices of schools to interview. After interviewing and touring the schools, they get a letter from their schools, saying if the student is accepted, not accepted, or is in a waiting list. If a student has a specific talent that impresses the school, such as art, music or their academic studies, they can receive a scholarship. If one does not posses a special talent, they can take test that are evaluated universally, such as TOEFL, SSAT, or ACT.

To drop out of your school, you would first need to speak with your parent or guardian and your advisor, dean, teacher, or other faculty member. They will be able tell you how to move forward with the process.

The qualifications for each private boarding school depend on the school. Often, as long as you can afford the tuition, you can attend the school. Sometimes, however, you will be required to pass certain placement exams or, if the school is focused on art, writing, or some other medium, you will need to prove proficiency in the medium. It really just depends on the school though, so you will need to check with the schools you are interested in to see what their requirements are.
