There was a Nicholas R Burczyk (now deceased) who was a handwriting expert but he probably never authenticated items. Most if not all of the items using Nicholas R Burczyk as the authenticator are fake.

How do you get items authenticated in MO?

PSA/DNA - JSAYou could have a signature or piece of memorabilia authenticated anywhere in the world but you might have to use the mail. Two of the top, and most trusted authenticators are PSA/DNA, and James Spence Authentic (JSA). Check the respective websites Show Schedule to see if they will be in the area that you live. If they are, contact them and let them know what you need authenticated so they can be prepared. They also do business through the mail.

Which coa is most reputable?

An autograph that is not authenticated by a reputable company could sell at half the price or less than one that is. Two of the top, and most trusted authenticators are PSA/DNA, and James Spence Authentic (JSA). Collectors will pay more for signatures authenticated by either one. It may sound odd but in some cases PSA/DNA, and JSA authenticated signatures may sell higher than a Letter of authenticity from an unknown or less trusted authenticator that witnessed the signing even though PSA/DNA, and JSA did not. It's just a matter of collectors trust, and collectors will pay more for it. They authenticate all sports memorabilia. Check their respective websites Show Schedule to see if they will be in the area that you live. They also do business through the mail. Before spending money on having an autograph authenticated do your homework. Find signatures on line that have been properly authenticated, and compare them to yours. If you feel comfortable that they are authentic then proceed. If you are authenticating game used items you might want to check out MEARS as well. For existing COA's of presigned items, companies like Upper Deck, MLB, or Steiner Sports that use holograms on the Items that they authenticate hold the most weight. Items authenticated by these companies could sell at a higher value than third party COA's from PSA/DNA, and JSA.

How do you get Bruce Lee collectibles authenticated?

Like any celebrity prop or posession including Bruce Lee you preferably need a certificate of authenticity from the source ie friend, family who obtained the item directly from the celebrity, or Bruce when he passed away. Autographs can be authenticated independently, and also movie used items can of course be authenticated by closely studying stills of the said prop being used on film by the star. Many items were gifted to friends by Bruce and may have changed hands in the last 40 years, so even though they're original memorabilia, may not have a documented certificate, but they're still genuine items. Bruce was a living start for such a short time, there are few possessions of his around 40 nyears on, hence they're so valuable.

What licenses are needed for a small business selling sports memorabilia?

There isn't a specific license to sell sports memorabilia but the items themselves must be authenticated by a licensed company. I recently purchased a signed picture from the MLB shop from bigflysports.com and the product came authenticated by Hollywood collectibles. I don't believe BigFlySports has any license in particular to be reselling the products.

Can i get an authenticity for a item that the authenticity was lost?

It depends on the authenticator, and the type of authenticity you have. If your item was authenticated without matching holograms on the both the item and letter, even if that company will issue you a new one it will have a lot less value than an authenticator like PSA/DNA, JSA or the Upper Deck co. It will pay for you to have the item re-authenticated. If your item was authenticated by a company that does use holograms, then you should have no problem replacing the letter, as the policy of the company you used. For example Upper Deck Authenticated (UDA) items have an attached hologram with a unique ID number for each item signed. If you visit the signed memorabilia data base you could entered the hologram ID number and the information for that piece will be brought up. You could do the same with PSA/DNA as well. Every piece of signed memorabilia is packaged with a registration card or certificate. If you lost your certificate or card you should be able to contact Upper-Deck or PSA/DNA, and ask for another to replace the one you lost. I don't know their policy or procedure but they can be contacted by phone to assist you. Items without a hologram to prove authenticity, that are just accompanied by a certificate do sell at a lower price because there is no guarantee that the item and the COA go together. You would have to have the item authenticated again. Items sold on the QVC Home Shopping Network in the late 1980's, and 1990's came with a COA by Scoreboard inc. This was before Upper Deck started to use holograms. Scoreboard has since went out of business, and items authenticated by them do sell at a much lower price range than a item authenticated with a hologram.
