Considered level 4 is average for someone in year 6 and level 5/6 is average for someone in year 9 I would say 4C-5B level 7 is above average.

A badger test is those levelling test which predicts your level !For me, from my personal experiences, a badger test is a test you do in science (although for all I know you might do it in other subjects) to give you a NC (National Curriculum) level. You make a poster about the topic with lots of information using a level ladder, and you are allowed to use your books and text books and normally allowed to talk, as it's an informal assessment. We were always given them in conjunction with a formal written test assessment. I've only ever done them in KS3 (years 7-9) and I would expect that you wouldn't do them at GCSE level.
