Rare Candies instantly boost your Pokémon’s level by 1 So needless to say, it’s the fastest way to raise a level…by one. That said, I do not ever consider feeding Rare Candies to be a quick method like other people. It never made sense to me why anyone would think Rare Candies are the quickest way to strengthen a pokemon. They’re so hard to come across, some of them require backtracking in the game, and only certain pokemon with the Pickup ability have the tiniest chance of finding one, and even then they have to be within a certain level range. Normally I wouldn’t recommend this for strengthening a pokemon but since you’re aiming for the stars with level 100 here, this is the fastest method you can possibly use without cheating:

Get 4-5 Zigzagoon or Linoone. They’re annoyingly common and have the Pickup ability.

Raise EVERY Zigzagoon/Linoone to level 41 or above. this will give you a 6% chance of finding a Rare Candy…but the Pickup ability only has a 10% chance of activating after a battle.

Keep all level 41+ Zigzagoons/Linoones in your party. You should have one or two slots left for fighters.

Use your 1-2 fighters to battle the E4 and Champion relentlessly, and don’t forget to check your Zigzagoons/Linoones to see if they have a little gift for you after every single battle.

The xp gained from fighting the E4 and Champion will be the most xp you can possibly gain from any trainer or pokemon throughout the rest of the game, so assuming you’re strong enough to tackle them using 1-2 pokemon, you’ll level up like crazy.

With any luck your 4-5 item finders will have found at least one Rare Candy by the time you’ve beaten the Champion. It’s a slow and unlikely process but it’s better than nothing right? Plus if you’re strong enough to take out the top 5 trainers in the game, you won’t need your normal team which leaves room for some Rare Candy seekers and can help speed up the entire long leveling process.

Side note: Giving the pokemon an Exp. Share will get it even more xp points if it battles alone.
