You don't get money for free. Money in your Playstation Wallet is actual money applied and not some form of vitural Money. I do get free Playstation network cards, but they come from points earned using My Sony Credit Card and using the Sony Rewards site much like some credit card holders get free airplane trips. Only they are not really free and are a form of rebate on purchases.
nope. Your internet service could cost you money and a WiFi router or other equipment could cost you a one time expense, but unlike Xbox Live the Playstation Network is free. The only cost of the Playstation Network is purchases at the Playstation Store or for individuals who join Playstation Plus for Special Playstation Store discounts and other member benefits like an automatic update system for all your games and devices.
Worldwide it would be the Playstation Network without a doubt. They have more membership than Xbox 360 has sold consoles. In the USA it might be closer because there are more Xbox 360 consoles, but the Playstation Network is free and has the PS3 and the PSP and PS Vita using the network.
Even free downloads are purchased from the Playstation Store even though the cost is zero. You need a Playstation Network account to use the Playstation Store. The free downloads are more than just demos
Yes by giving them the code number they just enter the number in the redeem section of there Playstation Network account and redeem the amount. It will load into there Playstation wallet. You can not gift someone money from the wallet
Cause PlayStation is obviously too cool for you

Mostly it is free demos. Everything at the PlayStation Store has a price and you purchase it. Some things the price is free so you do not pay. There are Demos games and add ons in this category and I expect there will be more when the network comes back on
You purchase a PlayStation Network Card which allows you to have money in your account after your load the information into your PS3. Money in your live account allows you to purchase downloadable games, game add-ons, full-length movies, TV shows and more from the PlayStation Network, for your PS3 and PSP systems.
No
PlayStation Network.
you can get it for "free" (meaning that you pay no money out of pocket) by earning PlayStation Network Giftcards, MS Points, Xbox Live, etc online. Go to the following website to learn more. www.giftcards4free.blogspot.com You can also get it for free by buying Battlefield Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition.
Not if your watching your money. If buying a game the day it comes out is something you do instead of waiting for the price to drop then it may be worth it. These questions are more than just opinions they also depend on just how much you would use they products that PlayStation Plus makes available to offset the $4 monthly fee
