What do you do to get your neighbors to show up on the neighbor screen in farmville?

If you're just getting started in FarmVille, you might not think it's all that important to have a lot of neighbors. After all, you're not fighting other players like you would in Mafia Wars. You don't have to defend your farm from attack. You just have to keep plowing, planting, and harvesting, and watch the coins collect in the bank.

While this is certainly a perfectly acceptable way to play the game, it's not the easiest or the most productive. Adding neighbors can give you all kinds of benefits that will allow you to advance to the next levels more quickly and accumulate more animals, trees, and decorations for your farm. Having a lot of neighbors will also make it much easier and cheaper for you to expand your farm when you're ready to do that. But how do you get all these neighbors?

Hit Up Your Friends

The first place to go looking for neighbors is your friend list. It's actually quite likely that some of the people you know have already started farming themselves, and the game makes it easy for you to find them. If you click on the My Neighbors tab, you'll bring up a list of the people on your friend list who are already playing FarmVille. All you have to do is click on the box to add them as your neighbor.

While this is a good place to start, there's no reason to be satisfied with this number of neighbors. Clicking on the next tab over, Invite Friends, you can quickly send invitations to everyone on your friend list to come and play FarmVille with you. Of course, not all of the people you invite will take you up on it, but you should get at least a few more neighbors out of this. Be sure to invite everyone though. There's nothing to lose, and you never know which of your friends is secretly a farmer at heart.

Beyond Your Friend List

Depending on how large your friend list is and how many positive responses you get, you may not need to look elsewhere for more neighbors. If you do want to try and find more, though, a great place to find some new neighbors (and friends) are the FarmVille Forums. Here you'll be able to chat with and add a bunch of people as neighbors who enjoy playing the game and are looking for new ways to expand their opportunities.

You do have to be careful when adding players from these forums though. Most of them are legitimate profiles of regular FarmVille players like you, but there are some fraudulent profiles out there. You'll know you added a fake profile if you start getting nonsensical messages in your inbox, so be careful not to add too many people you don't know at once. That way, you'll be able to tell which profile to delete if you encounter a problem.

Adding neighbors and expanding your farm is just one of the many enjoyable aspects of FarmVille. And it doesn't just give you more options for game play. It also gives you new ways to interact with old friends and a good venue to add new ones, and that may be the most rewarding bonus of all.

You can't, that's the point of neighbors, they are your friends on itself. Its easier to keep track of them when there in that little bar... That's why I would highly suggest only having people you want to see often in your neighbors.
Face-book ~To add a neighbor that isn't your friend on Face-book you have to follow these steps:
1 Of course, add them on Face-book searching their name or e mail.
2 After you have added them, go to Farm townapplications and click the "My neighbors" button.
3 Search through the people on your friends list that haveFarm town's and find there name
4 Click the "Add ---- as neighbor"

Step 1: Login to Farm Town

Step 2: Go to the My Neighbors tab

Step 3: Scroll through friends and select add as an neighbour

If they haven't joined farm town yet go to invite and request that they join

you have to add your friends as a neighbor by clicking on neighbor button at the top near play. then go to the bottom and click on who you want as your neighbors in farmville then you just click send

Go to your farm then you'll see on your bottom page your neighbors. If you want to add one, click on the box then it will take you to your list of friends that you wanna add as a neighbor. Just click on any of them and Farmville will send a neighbor request to that particular person.

You can go to the Farmville 2 page on Facebook. (By searching Farmville 2 in the search bar) and there are usually thousands of people commenting, 'Add me' on each post. You can add them, then invite them as your neighbours on Farmville 2. You can also write your own comment and get people to invite you as well. However, the quickest way to gain friends is to log in to the Zynga website. If you play through the Zynga website, you will have a live feed on the righthand side of the screen. If you click on a person, you will have the chance to send a friend request. This will allow you to gain a ton of friends and accomplish missions faster without annoying your real Facebook friends.
