How do you get nanman musou mode in dynasty warriors 4?

First of all, you need to unlock the Nanman Campaign through the Wu or Shu musou mode first. Say you start with wu, go through the musou mode stages until you get to the Battle of Chi Bi in Chapter 4. Then pick that stage and make sure Zhuge Liang succeeds with his wind prayer and only if you want, that the fire attack also is successful from Hung Gai. The way you do this is first immediately kill Xu Shu, not Xu Zhu; you will find Xu Shu right near by where Pang Tong appears. Make sure you kill him before Pang Tong encounters him. Then head to where the officers near by Zhuge Liang are and kill them asap (mainly Yue Ling i think it is) and instantly after go to stay with Zhuge Liang for the rest of the time until he completes his task. Also note that any extra peons near the officers are not worth fighting, they will just mess up the timing of everything. Assumingly you get him to succeed with the wind prayer, now you can either choose to help Hung Gai succeed with his fire attack or not, though this is more optional; I just tested it recently! If you want the fire attack to succeed to, just kill Cao Ren and Zhen Ji, and make sure Hung Gai is alive and reaches his destination, but again this is not really necessary. Cause at this point, you should definitely get the Fall of Shu instead of the Fall of Wei for the next chapter. If you see stages like the Siege of Fan Castle and He Fei, then you did something wrong. The nanman campaign lvl shows up if you see the Fall of Shu for chapter 5 of wu or shu. Say you got this done successfully and have the nanman lvl to play, then you got to play it, kill Meng Ho 7 times, once in a duel, and kill Zhu Rong in a duel as well. But before you exit out to look for the Nanman Campaign, this is the tricky part. You must and I emphasize must finish the wu or shu musou mode completley before you get the nanman musou mode in dw4 or Meng Ho and Zhu Rong. I hope this helps and sorry this is so long!
