The PS3 was developed to run a Dual Shock 3 controller and making another controller "work" is really not good enough. Whatever your reasons for wanting the other controller to be able to be used does not mean it will give you the same capabilities even if you are able to make the device work.
I do not know the controller you are talking about or whether it is even one of the three named. The Bass Landing Fishing Controller/Rod/Reel for Playstation by Agetec or the Agetec ASCII Grip or Agetec ASCII Pad none were developed for the PS3 or are made for Bluetooth controller connection and can only be made to "work" if they can be connected through the USB port of the PS3 with some sort of adaptor system. They might not work even if you do find a system to connect them and the performance even if they appear to work may not be consistent with every game or even throughout the game

Just buy the amazon PS3 dual shock 3 for $40 in an assortment of colors. A wired controller is not even original equipment for a PS3 and is just some cut rate off brand controller that you want to try to adapt to an old PS2 controller.
