Go to the store and buy a wireless router or wired router and an ethernet cable. After the router is connected to the modem reconnect whatever was connected to the modem to the router and then add ethernet connection to the PlayStation 3 if you are having wired connection. Then go to network connections on the PS3 settings menu for both wired and wireless connections.
First simplifie it, but connect with the DSL modem and there ya go ;)
You get online on the PS3 by having an internet service provider for broadband cable or DSL and the modem or router to allow WiFi or Ethernet connection to your PS3. Then you use the XMB PS3 settings for network connections to complete the internet connection
No the PS3 must be connected with WiFi or ethernet cable to broadband or DSL.
Sorry you can not. The laptops internal modem is mostly a PSTN device. This means it can only be used by phone lines. ADSL and Cable modems work in a different way. If you want to connect a laptop and a PS3 to the Internet a Linksys Router with multiple LAN connections must be used. The setup is then: INTERNET | CABLE/DSL Modem | Linksys router | | LAPTOP PS3
You will need to buy a new modem that is designed for your DSL modem. This is due to the fact that the modem is designed to use the dsl signal opposed to the cable modem.
No you must have seen the ads for PS3 which all say Online connectivity requires broadband internet service and network devices such as a DSL or cable modem.
You also need an Internet service provider (ISP) of either Broadband or DSL and a router if more than a single device is being connected with ethernet cables to the modem or a wireless router and/or modem for WiFi connection
After you have broadband or DSL internet service then you need to purchase the equipment needed to connect the PS3. The PS3 can be connected only with WiFi or an ethernet cable to your modem or router
you need to be connected to internet
Yes, DSL requires a DSL modem as well as an Ethernet port to your PC or laptop.

The PS3 does not have a router. It can go online with an ethernet cable connected to a router or modem or with WiFi from a wireless router or modem
