Q. Can I remove the voice from a music track with WavePad It is very difficult to completely remove the vocal, but the voice can be significantly reduced using the Reduce Vocals tool from WavePad's Special Effects. The recording must be stereo (from an original stereo source like a CD). It will also remove any instruments near the voice in the stereo spectrum.
You cannot remove vocals completely with Wavepad. No program can. You can reduce the volume of the vocals with the Effects -> Special Effects -> Reduce Vocals function, but this will alter the other instruments so that resulting audio will be in mono, and sound like it is underwater.
In AVS Audio Editor, you can remove vocals from a song by using the "Vocal Remover" effect. To do this, go to the effects menu, select "Vocal Remover," and adjust the settings to reduce or remove the vocals. Keep in mind that removing vocals completely from a mixed track may not be perfect and can affect the overall quality of the audio.

If you mean remove vocals from a mixed recording, it can sometimes be done with a center-channel canceling function. There is no program that can remove or un-mix other instruments in a commercial recording.

Unless you have access to the original recordings with a separate vocal track it is impossible to remove the vocals as they become mixed into a single track with all the other instruments. Depending on the individual track you may be able to reduce them with an equaliser by fading down the mid frequencies but this will also reduce the other instruments too.
