You can always go to the auction house in the main cities and buy a non combat pet. However, Death Knights(Unholy for All The Time) and Warlocks are the only 2 options. Death Knight's you have to be lvl 55 to get on one of your characters.
In order to learn a new pet, you first have to find a beast you want to tame. Target it and use Beast Lore to determine if it is tameable. Then, you have to dismiss your current pet (no need to abandon it these days as it becomes one of your active but uncalled pets) and then cast Tame Beast on the creature you want to tame.
Once the channeling time is over, it has become your pet. Note that it might be useful to put a Freezing Trap in front of you to trap it while you tame it. Be sure that no one interferes with the creature, or heals you, as this might break the effect.
Once the pet is tamed, it will be hungry and unhappy. Feed it some food it likes to up its happiness.
Hunters store their pets in a few locations, which can be confusing for a new player. At any time, there are three "states" for a pet to be in:
1) Called (running with the player)
2) Active (but not called)
3) Stabled (put in storage at a stablemaster)
The Stablemaster NPCs in various cities allow you to access the stable - her you can store up to 20 pets. By talking to a Stablemaster you can switch pets from your stable to your active list.
Your active pets (see it as a bag with animals in it) are those you can select from when you call pets. You start out with one active pet at Call Pet 1. Each level of Call Pet adds one extra active pet, up to a maximum of 5 pets.
A called pet is one that is by your side out in the world - you can have only 1 of your pets called at any time.
Beasts as in mounts or pets?? Or do you mean like if you are a hunter training a beast
Revive pet is a skill you get as soon as you learn how to tame pets. The skill will be located in your spell book.
Petopia has many hunter pets in the game World of Warcraft and there are many different groups of special pets such as dogs, wolves and bats. Fangor is a bat and Ice Claw is one of the cats.
You get pets :)
Warlock you can get a spell named Summon Imp at level 3. Hunter you can tame pets at level 10
Yes you can but.... You need to be a beast master hunter and have the talent beast mastery to be able to tame exotic pets... Like The Kurken
There is a such thing as ocean hunting in WOW its just not called ocean hunting. its called swimming underwater beating up everything you find. There is a hunter class, but they have no special abilities regarding water, nor special underwater pets.
You can have up to 20 pets in the stables and as you level up, you gain more active pet slots (up to 5) that you can call at any time. The 20 in the stable can only be called if they are moved to one of your active slots.
to get a pet u must be a level 10 hunter. usually when u get to that level there is a person standing next to your trainer that has a new quest. when u do this quest u must train animals and stuff. when u finish the quest it teaches u how to train pets
http://www.wowhead.com/?spells=-6 has a list of all the Non-Combat pets in WoW
It is a stat that boosts you're health. Usually only individuals in World of Warcraft that are going to be tanking need to stack this stat. Although it should be pointed out that some Death Knights and Hunter's need this too. The more stamina that they have the more damage their pet can take before dropping. This is mainly for people who do not do groups/instances and have their pets tank.
Hunter pets need to be level 20 to get their first talent point. From then on, they gain another talent point every 4 levels. ***Note that Beast Master hunters who have the 51-point Beast Mastery talent also give 4 additional bonus talent points to their pets. Also, Warlock pets do not have talent points.
