How do you get past the library on dream chronicles?

To get past the library, you must put all the books back in their proper places. The various shelves are "labeled" when you mouse over them. The empty slots are for the six books. After you do that, you must find the "mysterious book". Put the globe back on the stand and a drawer opens, there is a crystal there.

When you put the mysterious book on the floor, it opens. Put the crystal in the book, the click the book. The crystal will be charged. Bring the crystal close to the crystal ball and a passage will open. Don't forget the Dream pieces!
