If your tamagotchi is a child, it can only gain points randomly; you can't influence which skill point it will receive. If it is a teen or older, it can raise Humor points by playing apple. Playing shapes will increase gorgeous points, and playing manhole raises spiritual points.

Actually you can get points. When it's a kid the king visits once a day with around 2,000 points. When your tamagotchi grows to become an adult (age 3) it get's a pro debut and becomes a music star, the manager then hooks up your tamagotchi and it's band 3 concerts. Your tamagotchi will play at all 3 concerts and the next day the band manager arrives with your points, if your tamagotchi did good at the concert it gets a lot of points. Mine got 5million points one day and the next day it got 10million points.
