I went to Home Depot and bought GOOF OFF. The back of it said it removes pretty much anything including nail polish. I sprayed the remover, dipped a tooth brush in hot water and started scrubbing.. All of it came out completely! I had to really scrub but the stains are 100% out, even after I made it worse and let it sit for 14 hours. That stuff is amazing!

If your carpet is non-synthetic - wool, for example - it won't be affected by nail polish remover. If your carpet is synthetic, nail polish remover will likely dissolve the fibers where it comes into contact with the nap. This is not a "spot" that can be removed. Rather, it is permanent damage.

While you might not be happy about your daughter spilling nail polish on your carpet, I would say the only proper punishment for her would be to deduct the cost of having the carpet cleaned from her allowance or, if she has a part-time or full-time job, have her pay directly for having the carpet cleaned.
To hide a nail polish stain on taupe carpet, first, blot the stain gently with a cloth to absorb excess polish. Next, use a small amount of rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover on a clean cloth to dab at the stain, being careful not to spread it. If the stain persists, consider sprinkling baking soda over it to absorb any remaining color and blend it with the carpet fibers. Finally, vacuum the area to restore the carpet's texture.
You can try to use non acetone nail polish remover on it, wipe dry and repeat. Acetone will eat away at the carpet fibers. It probably won't come completely out of the carpet. For the best result use this method. 1. Dab with nail polish remover, do not scrub it. 2. Sponge the stain with a household dry-cleaning fluid following the maker's instructions. Do NOT soak. Open windows and air the room thoroughly.
Spray hair spray on it once it is dry and scrub it with a small towel.
