that was my problem back when i was making my butterfly set back then.
it's extremely rare those times but with patience i got what i need from my lvl 3 insect thicket and some from the bugtree with gold cat hammer. they're both inside your farm.
have patience.
They can be found in the volcano in the two areas near the spawn.
Yes but they are extremely rare
You can find them at the volcano in area's 1 and 2, quite rare though(as the name suggests) so you might have to go a few runs before you find one
you get honey and bitterbug and combine them, then add rare steak
high volcano, insect thicket 3, bug tree gold hammer
To obtain a Phantom Butterfly in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, you need to gather it from the Gathering Points in the Forest and Hills area. Look for shiny spots on the ground while exploring, as these indicate locations where you can collect items. It's also helpful to have a Gathering skill equipped to increase your chances of finding rare items. Be patient, as the Phantom Butterfly is a rare resource!
you create a character who is a sucesser of a previous character, the new character will get all the items that are RARE 3 or below (does not incluse equipment)
Do quests that have Velocidromes in them. There is a good one that has 2 of them in the level if you have it unlocked. The item is fairly rare so keep trying.
You can only mine firecell stones in the volcano, but they are ultra rare and really hard to find. Or you can do it the harder way and fight the akantor and carve them off of him.
you'll eventually get it in high rank quests as rare and a bit more frequent in G rank quest both in Elder and Gathering hall 2nd and 3rd lady missions.
you need to unlock the high rank Giadrome quest and then kill it its pretty rare so...
Basically means that your killing the same monster over and over again, to either get a rare part of it like plates and gems (but also normal parts like shells but people mostly aim for the rare parts) or that you are trying to the title of the monster that it gives you for killing so many.
