The secret to bright and white teeth is not only brushing your teeth everyday. Nor is it flossing. Sometimes to get bright white teeth you need to bleach them, sometimes as much as going to the dentist and requesting bleach from them.
NO! Brushing only keeps your teeth clean, free from bacteria and plaque. In order to STRAIGHTEN your teeth, you'd need braces.
Only consuming lots of sugary acidic foods and not brushing teeth regularly will damage them
Yes. But brushing will only cancel one piece of candy. Therefore, if you ate 36 M&M's you would have to brush your teeth 36 times. Hope that helped.
They work when the brush part it rubbing something.
the science of flossing and brushing involves making an acidic atmosphere a basic one, which your teeth love. Flossing is removing bacteria from not only between the teeth, but under the gum line. Flossing also massages the gums, therefore promoting good blood flow to the gums. This provides ideal nutrition to the tissue and teeth.

gums will only "pull away" from teeth if bacteria is present between the gingiva (gum) and tooth surface, or you are brushing too hard! If you havent been brushing at least twice a day and flossing once a day, you should start before your teeth fall out!
Brushing your teeth once a day is now recommended since over brushing is as much as a problem as not brushing them enough. You should use mouthwash and floss in the morning after breakfast and brush your teeth and floss before going to bed everyday. Chewing sugarfree gum 20minutes after every meal (or after as many as possible) will keep your mouth healthy and your teeth protected. Flossing is actually more important than brushing and so its something you should be more concerned about. ------------- Brushing your teeth 3 times a day is important as it makes sure that you're keeping bacteria away and stopping the forming of plaque. Also you need to floss and use a water pick to make sure all areas of your teeth are cleaned. While brushing you need to be careful not to press too hard cause that may damage your gums.
