How do you get red orb in Pokemon Heart Gold?

You can only get the Red Orb in Pokémon Ruby; in Sapphire, you get the Blue Orb, and you get it from the old woman at the peak of Mt. Pyre.
You cannot get a Red Orb in Sapphire, as it is available only in the Ruby Version. However, in Sapphire, you can get a Blue Orb which will be at Mt. Pyre's peak, given to you by an old couple there. You can gain access to the Cave of origin in Sootopolis city with a blue orb and catch Kyogre.

But in Ruby, you can catch Groudon instead of Kyogre.

You can't obtain the red orb in Sapphire.

Team Aqua uses it to awaken Kyogre, while you are given the blue orb in order to challenge it. In Ruby however, team Magma has the blue orb, while you get the red orb to challenge Groudon.

You can't have both orbs (and thus be able to fight both Kyogre and Groudon) on either one game. That's only possible in Emerald version.
Go to the top of Mt.Pyre and it will be there.
You can not find the red orb in Sapphire. You can only find it in Ruby and Emerald.

Well, technically [if I remember correctly] the old woman gives it to you when you go to look for the blue orb. But it is pretty much completely useless in Sapphire.

to get the red orb in pokemon soulsilver you need to beat all 16 gyms (8 in johto and 8 in kanto, Beating the pokemon league in between the two). Next You need to catch lugia in the whirl islands off the coast of cianwood city. (following that you will be able to go to kanto to battle the gym leaders). After you beat the pokemon league for the second time you then need to catch latios, moltres, zapdos, and articuno. but before you have the opportunity to catch them you need to beat red. lastly talk to Mr. Pokemon and he will give you the red orb allowing you to battle groudon in the embedded tower.

In Pokémon SoulSilver you can only get the red orb.

Here is what you do:

After beating the Elite Four go to Kanto.

Defeat every single Gym Leader and then go to Prof. Oak.

He will give you a Kanto starter Pokémon, make your choice.

Then Fly back to johto or use the train, either way you're going to have to fly again.

Fly to CherryGrove City and then go north to Mr. Pokémon's house.

There he will give you a Red Orb.

Take the Red Orb and Fly to Cianwood City and go on the route to the Safari Zone.

There will be a cave with TWO LADDERS

One going Up, to the safari zone, and one going down, to our destination.

Go down.

Then exit the cave and use surf.

Surf all the way to the left until you see some Rock Climbing rocks, surf to that area and use rock Climb until you see a Hiker.

Inside this cave is the legendary groudon and save before your battle!
