People can get rid of bad habits by MOTIVATION, and DETERMINATION. Habits I must admit are usually hard to break. But as long as you set a goal and possibly give your self penalties (if you should slip back into your habit) you should eventually be able to break the habit. It would also help if you kept track of your progress.
To break a bad habit is very hard to do. I have a habit right now of cracking knuckles... It is so hard to actually break a habit... but it all really depends on that bad habit you have... is it smoking? knuckle cracking? You have to tell us to answer. When ever you feel like you want to pick up a cigarette or you start to press your knuckle down think of that piece of paper or you could carry it with you. This will remind you what you are taking away from yourself.
