Eating disorders are just like any other disease, they just won't go away on their own. A person doesn't "get rid" of an eating disorder, they overcome one. The best way to overcome an eating disorder is by talking to your doctor and getting the help you need (therapy, nutritionist, rehab etc.) but first and foremost, you have to realize you have a problem and then you have to assure yourself you want to get help. By having professional help and a great support team (family, friends etc.) you will be on the road to recovery.
