Last year I just got rid of some squirrels and the other posters are right. You can rent a cage and I used peanut butter to attract them into the cage. Worked like a charm. Be sure you get all of them. They may have a mate and also go on the web and find out when they have their babies. You don't want to leave the little ones to starve. Then we relocated the squirrels in a wood area about 20 miles from our home. Good luck Marcy Many pet stores or even your local animal services will offer cages wherein you can place some food. When the squirrely enters, the cage door closes behind it and it can then safely be relocated outside. That, or leave a window or door open and it might simply leave on its own. Set a trap, there are squirrel traps at any farm supply store. you lure them with ham they love it
Setting out food that the squirrel likes in an area away from where you don't want them to be, and where you may like to see saplings some day, is one way of dealing with a squirrel problem. Their favorite snacks are black walnuts [Juglans nigra]. They choose them, and hickory [Carya spp] over all other food.
1. Call animal control
2. don't try to frighten it
3. if you can't wait for animal control, take a large container and try to throw it at the squirrel to capture it
4. if you have a gun... well you can see where this is going but this is not advised since if you don't get the squirrel, you can destroy most of the house especially is you keep shooting. even if you hit it, the bullet may just fly in and out of the squirrel onto more of your house.
5. keep it as a pet if it lets you and go to the vet immediately to get it tested and treated
You must trap them. Trap them where they can be disposed of. Poisoning them may have them dye in the walls or floors. This usually ends up smelling bad.
Shoot it down with an air soft gun.
Or buy one of those pest removers that plug into an electric outlet
In our family, we either shoot it or literally set the cats loose on it.
it depends on what its stuck in or on , call animal control to help
kill them
The most proven track record of getting rid of squirrels is an exterminator. They have a very good track record in Massachusetts for removing squirrels.
Call an exterminator.
The Red Squirrel was originally from Scotland and the Grey Squirrel from America. They both thrived in their separate lands until someone brought over the Greys to the UK. They reproduced rapidly and stole the Red Squirrels food and attacked Red Squirrel populaces. Now the Red Squirrel is endangered. But NOT exctinct. The Grey Squirrels have not got rid of the Red Squirrels.
We're having a yard sale to get rid of all the junk we have in the basement. How can we rid the world of war and hatred? In the rainy season we don't get rid of mosquitoes.Dad has tried everything to get rid of the squirrels in his garden.Once we had lice in our home, it was extremely difficult to get rid of it.
People usually don't keep squirrels in their attics - the squirrels usually get inside without them knowing the animals are there. Squirrels in an attic can be very harmful - they tear up things and leave droppings and urine and can cause disease. You should let your neighbors know that they need to call animal control to get rid of the squirrels.
Get a dog. Or a neighbors dog to get the scent or let it poop or pee to mark its territory.
Strobe lights may scare the squirrels out of the attic, but I personally have never try it. I say you should give it a go. Good luck! I have had a lot of success evicting squirrels with the Evictor High Intensity Strobe Lights. It seems that the strobes do not scare the squirrels, but instead annoys them so much they voluntarily leave the attic.
Shoot em and eat them. If they are in the attic hook up a white disco lamp there for a few nights.
It will take ventilation and time.
