I would suggest drinking peppermint tea or cinnamon tea before bed, or perhaps taking a tums. Another suggestion is not eating anything within thirty minutes of sleeping, and drinking plenty of water.
It depends on how much damage their is and how your body is. Some people may only need a few months to heal, some years. Some people have such bad damage that it never heals. All you can really do is try to stop the acid reflux to prevent further damage ( any heartburn medicine should take care of that,) take care of throat(no yelling/screaming, drink lots of water, ect) and wait. If your throat heals then it heals, if it doesn't, then it doesn't.
