However, the two most common types of worms in cats in the US are roundworms and hookworms, which can generally be treated with a dose of pyrantel pamoate (look for this in the active ingredients section). There are usually a few different brands of dewormer available in the pet section of most department stores (like Walmart, KMart, Target, etc); the dose will be on the side of the bottle based upon weight. If this doesn't work, you will need to go to a veterinarian for an examination and prescription.

∙ 14y agoTo treat ring worm in humans use an antifungal cream. put it on the infected area every morning for 4 weeks. if you don't see any recovery go see your doctor. Ring worm can be transmited from dogs and cats to humans, humans to humans ( sharing cloths, sleeping with the same blankets, etc...) and humans so animals. If you get it don't worry. it looks like a round pink circle. It will be itchy and flaky.
