In the KillZone 3 campaign you will automatically be given Sev's haircut. If you are playing the multiplayer campaign you will need to be player one (1). Player one controls Sev, and player two (2) controls Natko.
I do not believe that you will be able to have Sev's haircut online. It may be possible, but I have not seen it, as of this post.
Either way, with or without Sev's hair, the game is awesome. Please consider buying it.

How do you save teammate in killzone?
It is impossible to save your teammates in KillZone 1. But in KillZone 2 and KillZone 3 you are able to save a teammate by pressing a certain button, this button depends on your controller scheme. You will then pull out a "Heal Ray" and fire it at your downed ally. Thus, reviving them from the brink of death. In an online KillZone 3 game the "Heal Ray" is only available to the Field Medic unit.
