if it is magnetic, use a magnet tied to a string or something

if it isn't magnetic, then take off the cover and reach in

if you can't do any of those, that is a problem. if it is flamible, don't use the heater. if you arn't sure, don't use the heater.

taking apart the system would be another option, but that isn't very cheap if you can't do it yourself.

if none of those work, call the company that made the heater and explain the problem.

Why do you say heat up and cool down instead of heat down and cool up?

To heat something means to bring the temperature up and to cool something means to bring temperature down. Hence the terms "Heat Up" and "Cool down". We actually do not need to add the up or down, as heat in itself means to rise, and cool means to lower. So instead of saying "I need to heat my food up", one could just say, " I need to heat my food".

I have a large houseplant next to a heat register is that going to hurt thebplant?

Yes, if you put a large houseplant next to a heat register, it will hurt the houseplant.

Does a higher specific heat capacity mean that something will cool down faster?

sure :D

When you cool something down is the mass or the volume changing?

Cooling something down does not generally change its mass, and may or may not change its volume. Cooling a gas will change the volume (if the pressure remains the same). When you cool something down, you most directly change its heat energy.

How do you install a heat register in a drop down ceiling?

If I am correctly understanding the question. You have a suspended ceiling and wish to add a register. Ok, two ways, the first is easiest. Get a 2`x 2` register and lay it in the grid in the place of a tile. Second, once you have selected the ceiling location for the register, lay the register in the center of the tile where it is going and trace out & cut the hole in the tile to accept the register and reinstall the tile into the ceiling grid and connect the duct. Make sure everything is properly supported and there is no stress on the tile.

When somthing is heated how does it cool down?

when something is heated the particles are moving very fast and then has it cools down (and heat releases into the air) particles begin to slow down, which means theyre cooling down.

What is an example of reducing heat and energy?

Cooling something down by diverting heat away from it, such as in a refrigerator. An endothermic process removes heat from it's surroundings by absorbing energy from it. Just a note, you cannot 'reduce' energy from something, you can only divert it to another form. Energy is always conserved!

If something is conductor of heat does it lose heat fast or slow-?

If something is a good conductor of heat then it will lose heat slowly. If something is a poor conductor of heat it will lose heat quickly.

What factor free covection heat flow depends?

The only factor that free convection heat flow depends on is the conductivity of the material. Heat moves toward a cold area and heat it up and the reverse is true for cold, it will cool down something warm.

What can one do with a heat register software?

With heat registering software you can locate the source of where heat is entering a room. You can also see just how hot a room is at certain spots and ranges.

What is a heat source in a system?

There are heat sources in a lot of different things. A heat source is something that can heat something else up. There are heat sources in microwaves, ovens, and cars.

What would cause a clicking in the dash of a car?

You really don't give enough information. Does this happen when the fan is turned on for heat?? If so, something might have fallen down the holes where the defroster air comes out of the dash and has made it's way down to the fan cage. If it happens all the time, something could have gotten out of the glove box and is in the dash rolling around. Sometimes a bad electrical relay will click when it is trying to make it's electrical connection and it does not have enough power or it's contacts are worn out.
